STATE and NATIONAL Champions!!
Congratulations to Thriftr creators, Suki Waddel (left) and Olivia Zammit (right), and a special mention to their mentor, Ms Nicola Steele, for helping them get ‘Thriftr’ up and running.
These two amazing Year 9 students created this fabulous app called ‘Thriftr’ as part of their work in the iSTEM course. They submitted the app into the Tech Girls National Competition and were selected as finalists which was a great achievement given how many students took part.
Earlier today Tech Girls held a live webinar to announce the state winners and then the overall national winner. ‘Thrifter’ was judged to be the best entry from all NSW Secondary Schools. As if this was not enough excitement for Suki and Olivia, they were also judged to have created the best entry from across the nation!!
