Fifteen St Clare’s College students recently had the incredible opportunity to participate in the Harvard Model Congress Young Leadership Program, in collaboration with Learn With Leaders.

The four day program enabled our Year 11 and 12 students to become better leaders, as they learnt how to find creative solutions to the most pressing issues of our times. Our students undertook leadership activities, and collaborated as groups to generate inventive solutions to global problems. As part of the program, students also undertook a hands-on project with measurable outcomes.

Guided by experienced Harvard student mentors, participating students were supported to unlock their leadership potential, gain skills to effectively tackle problems, and create actionable plans to make an impact.

Suki Waddel, St Clare’s College Captain, acknowledged the opportunities afforded by the program: “The Harvard Model Congress Young Leadership Program was an opportunity to network with international connections, develop our leadership skills and practise live negotiating in preparation for future endeavours. We are extremely grateful for the opportunity.”

This program gave the students a comprehensive and immersive experience, as they connected with like-minded students from across the globe, whilst getting a glimpse into Harvard College life.
