Year 7.1 are currently doing energy transfers, specifically types of heat transfer. There are 3 types of energy transfer: conduction, convection, and radiation. Conduction is heat transfer through particle collision where the energy is transferred from one particle to another when colliding. In order to understand the concept, the students participated in an activity on zoom where the top left corner of the screen started vibrating first as it was closest to the heat, Through colliding with the next person on zoom, they transferred energy to them and the next person started vibrating as well. The students had a lot of fun creating this domino effect!
